Philosophy: College Classes

Hello everyone.

I have been offered the option of enrolling in a general history course or a class entitled, "Philosophical Problems" - A general introduction to the problems and methods of philosophy drawing on classic and contemporary texts. Areas covered include metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, logic and the philosophy of religion. Particular emphasis placed on analyzing, evaluating and constructing arguments.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone who took a class in a similar vein and what the curriculum entailed. There is no syllabus available, so I am wondering if anyone had an insight as to the nature of such a course. Obviously, my ken in this area is limited; any info will help.
