<p>I don't have any personal experience with the department but it's ranked #1 by the Philosophical Gourmet for the last 6 years so I'd have to think it's pretty damn good. </p>

<p>it's a highly ranked department in the nation for its category. I have many friends who are majoring in it and all loved it. Just by searching Albert, most of the classes are Closed and have long waitlists, even classes that don't sound too interesting (but theres very few of those). From what i've gathered, it's a really great program. One of the best in CAS</p>
<p>It's actually quite annoying. I had to redo my entire Fall 2007 schedule because of that. They need to add more classes, or I might end up changing my major or doing summer school in order to graduate on time.</p>
