Just gonna ask a few questions

What exactly do you study as a philosophy major?

What kind of social do you have as a philosophy major?

How much work is involved? Could I do a sport, club, or other ECs?

How much research is involved?

How much writing is involved?

How hard is it to manage with premed?

Is it a good minor with engineering?

You can study many things as a philosophy major. Wikipedia covers it decently well: [Philosophy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Philosophy - Wikipedia)

By “what kind of social” I assume you mean who you interact with? It really depends on where you go and what you do while there. Your social life does not have to depend on your major.

There is a lot of writing involved, particularly with upper level courses. But if you manage your time well, then you can do other things. It is up to you, however.

There is some research, but mostly reading and writing.

Again, managing with other activities and studies depends on your abilities and wants.
