I was admitted to UCLA last week. I got a call from UCLA last night congratulating me and wanting to ask me some questions. I was not home, which my mom relayed, and they are going to call again tonight. Has anyone else gotten a call and/or know what this is about?

I got the call also. They asked me if I was going to attend UCLA. I said yes and she asked me when I would be accepting my admissions offer. It was kind of a weird question…

I want a call! lol I just accepted my offer of admission. :D

I just checked my phone and their number is under missed calls. lol I hope they call me tomorrow! :)

Are these calls going to anyone (like a randomly generated list) or are they targeting certain groups?

For reference, I’m OOS.

< SoCal resident, Hispanic, Under the median income line, umm…yeah. EOC.

Does anyone know what getting a phone call means? I haven’t gotten one.

Yeah, I am OOS as well… They never called back. Oh well. I wasn’t really planning on going there anyways but I was just curious as to what they were calling about.

@edaneille: The calls might just be an advertising thing where they want to tell you about Bruin Day or something like that, to personally reach out to admitted students. UCSD did a phone call campaign earlier in March.

But this is just my inference; who really knows?
