I just received a phone call from UCLA. The caller ID said "UCLA Bruins." Anyone have any idea what it could be about? Please let me know. There was no message left.

This is quite vague. Question is: are you applicant for UCLA? Were you rejected, wait-listed, or accepted before the call? Did you recently call UCLA for any specific reason that required them to respond? Don’t be so vague in your next thread please and thank you.

Well, I’m sorry if I offended you hakuex. My fault. I’ll make sure to be more specific in the future. I was accepted to UCLA as a Fall 2013 admit. I haven’t called UCLA recently either. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

I’m not offended, but you’re making people speculate about your situation based on how little information you had provided. They probably called you in reminder of Bruin Day which is next week.

xzyabc44 - my son got a call from UCLA last night. It was a student calling to talk about Bruin day and the engineering open house and encouraging him to go. It was essentially a recruiting call and I’d bet that is what your call was. The student asked if he was planning to enroll and he told her he had not yet made his decision. He will not be able to attend Bruin day since it conflicts with another college preview weekend that he does not want to miss.

I got a call yesterday as well. The girl was just asking me general questions like am I going to Bruin Day, have I sent my SIR in yet, and if I applied to housing. I asked her a ton questions about UCLA student life and how to choose housing. :)
