One of my D’s friends auditioned for MT. He heard only acting calls today and MT by Gary tomorrow. Has anyone heard this?

Congrats AsstToTheMT’s D!!!

AssttoTheMT - So happy for you and D!! I’m surprised you can even type straight!!!

They started making the calls for Drama around 4pm today. The calls will be made throughout the weekend so don’t panic if you don’t hear something right away! And then the Priority Wait List will most likely roll out early next week which will include up to 12 students that will be bumped up if another student declines. Best of luck to everyone!!!

OMG I’m realizing how selfish I looked by asking about the phone calls in this thread. Feel I need to let my CC family know I congratulated AsstToTheMT on another thread BEFORE I asked about the calls on this thread (I had 673 tabs open at once, refreshing like a madwoman)…If there is one thing that’s been awesome about CC, it’s everyone’s ability to feel joy and excitement for each other’s kids, even when we may not be getting the results we’d like. Sorry for the rant lol…just had to qualify my post. Break legs to everyone waiting on CMU today! :)

Totally get it DoReMiMom. Happily, good news is posted on more than one thread but I can’t keep track of which ones I’ve posted on with congrats. I think those of us who are frequent readers can follow the logic of the different responses.

@DoReMiMom – I feel you, friend! When I posted yesterday I was out of my mind and I think I posted the news in some really weird places, ha! I was trying to get accurate info out there asap for the CC community at the same time as enjoying the news. But I think everybody here knows that cross=posting like that happens all the time.

And what I really came back here to say was that YES, I also heard that Gary would be making calls today for Musical Theatre (and I don’t know if the Acting calls are done yet, either).

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting for news!

Just waiting

@AsstToTheMT When I read your post yesterday about your D getting in, I ran upstairs and flew into my D’s room like a total lunatic, screaming “Turn up your ringer on your phone!” My kids and husband thought someone died bc I was so frantic and intense. I had planned all along to be cool and collected once calls started but no…TOTALLY mom Fail lol.

My s told me he didn’t want to know when they were starting. He blissfully played basketball in the front while they were happening. Last night he asked me about it, so I told him. Today he is keeping an eye but as time moves forward we are moving our attention to the birds in hand and letting go of the bush.

@DoReMiMom, that is hilarious! For everyone – I haven’t heard about any calls today so far, and D only knows of 4 others besides her (all Acting).

Son has two shows today, we attended the matinee but he is staying at a friend’s tonight with a bunch of the guys from the show. I told him to let us know if Gary calls

so there weren’t actually any calls today, were there? :-"

It HAS to be today right? They said this weekend, so I’m hoping to see lots of action from fellow CC’ers today!!! :)

Has anyone gotten mt calls yet?

No MT calls yet as far as I know. CMU mails all decision letters tomorrow so everybody ought to know one way or another by the end of the week. But hopefully the rest of the calls go out very soon! Fingers crossed for you all!

I was so excited when I saw AsstToTheMT D’s post I text my S “omg omg insert name is in CMU” he said “who is that” then I realized I don’t really “know” many of you LOL

I’ll be just as excited for CC’s today getting the calls!! <:-P

Does anyone know if they are done making calls to those accepted for Drama?
Also, how long has the calling process lasted in the past?

Does anyone know if all the MT calls have been made? If not are they finishing up today?

I don’t think any MT calls have been made. Has anyone heard of anyone being accepted for MT??
