Phone Calls

Some people are asking why they got (Or rather, their counselors got) phone calls asking about 1st Quarter grades...and here is NYU's Answer

"Please do not panic and/or read too much into this situation. In many cases our Admissions Committee will directly contact a guidance counselor to get more detailed or recent academic information about an applicant. This could happen for any number of reasons - for instance if a student has recently switched schools, if there has been significant but recent improvement or a decline in a student's classroom performance, or if there is a question about performance in a specific subject area. Our Committee was simply hoping to get some more detailed information about your academic performance.

Best of luck!"
