Holding our breath.

Do you think they read these posts and laugh at us all? lol

Yes. I am sure of it.

The neurosis is palapable.

May the odds be ever in your favor!

djexpress - Now Iām picturing the reaping but with college acceptancesā¦ Hahaha

LOL! Can you imagine a parody of it?

Oh no tomorrow is the day :/

With 2500 auditioners this year, I told my daughter, who would love to go to CMU, not to expect a call. To just be excited that she got into an audition MT program. I hope it makes the disappointment a little easier.

Really, 2500? Is that for both Acting and MT? Where did you get that number?

Does anyone have an idea of what time calls go out?

I canāt imagine anyone here is going to know the TIME that calls go out.

2500? I would be curious where that number comes from. In my Dās admissions year, there were 1200 BFA in MT/Acting applicants to CMU. That was not this year, however.

2500 is definitely an incorrect number. I would say no more than 15-1600, and thats for the WHOLE school of drama application pool. They donāt give out/actually have the data breakdown for how many applicants for each major in the School of Drama.

I believe the total number of MT and Acting applicants is closer to 1200. I believe Barbara actually said the number of applicants for MT was 600 so I am extrapolating.

I am not not not waiting by the phone. It is coincidental that the telephone is in the kitchen and I have a long day of cooking planned.

First up, lemon curd. It is a complete coincidence that it is traditionally paired with Scottish shortbread. My recipe for lemon curd is extraordinary. If anyone wants to try it, let me know. It comes from Fine Cooking magazine.

Anyone have a good recipe for haggis?

We are out of town for break and not returning til Wednesday. Bad planning. Agonizing. They have my sonās phone cell phone number. Hopefully they will try it too.

Of course if he is getting a call.

prodesse, thank you for reminding me that I am not alone in being far more interested (it seems) in the status of these things than my D. I would love your recipe for anything that would distract me from this waiting for the last few calls/letters/emails.

Iām a shortbread kind of gal myself, so particularly interested in that:)

Prodesse, if you really are interested in haggis, order from Beans Meats in Maine (on the internet). Although I have absolutely no Scottish heritage, any excuse for a party, poetry and a few glasses of scotch (not necessarily in that order) in late January works for me, so weāve had a Burns supper for the last few years. The scotch sounds particularly appealing while we play this dreadful waiting game!

I think you guys need a new thread: āParents-in-waiting recipes!ā
