Phone Coverage at Hampshire College

<p>Hey, just throwing it out there coz I'm not exactly sure where to ask this. </p>

<p>How is the phone coverage? Any recommended phone lines that work best? Also, anyone heard of Solavei? seems to come with a good deal.</p>

Phone service is great, I live in Western Mass and if you would prefer a prepaid unlimited plan, I haven’t heard of Solavei- but we have plenty of options! AT&T and Verizon (major US providers) have their own versions of prepaid phones. A very popular option is Virgin mobile- you can find the plans online. </p>

<p>And, Hampshire rooms have landline phone jacks, so if you’d like to make long-distance calls, I read that you can buy prepaid calling card for those phones (you have to bring your own physical phone). </p>

<p>My daughter has Sprint and says that she has great cell phone coverage. It is true that there is a phone jack in each room, and that you need to provide your own land-line phone. You can then make free local calls, but would need a calling card for long-distance.</p>
