I have a phone interview with SPS coming up. I know phone interviews aren't as good as in- person, so I have to have a great conversation. Any tips for a great phone interview? I already have a short list of questions to ask her.

ohhhh i had a phone interview with SPS as well…make sure not to stammer and speak clearly…be yourself…try not to be boring…answer honestly…uhhhh ask meaningful questions…have fun!

Phone interviews are shorter than face-to-face ones and more straightforward and to the point. You may have your paper and cheat sheets spread out in front of you, but don’t try to sound like you’re reading off your notes, even though you actually might be.
You can always ask your interviewer if he/she can switch to a Skype video interview. That way it’ll be easier for you to establish a bond.

Try a practice interview with your parents or a friend (adult?). Try to make it clear that you know a bit about the school. Ask about those areas you have a personal interest in, but do not ask about an activity they do not have (like sailing or surfing :)). If it is true (but only if), tell your 1st choice they are your first choice, but be ready to answer why. Try to be yourself and do not be nervous (hence the practice). PM me if you want further help .

Thanks for the tips! I think it went fairly well. So now do I send a thank you note?
