Phone Interviews

Anyone have em? Is this a plus or a minus? Is there some signal the school is trying to send me that i'm not good enough for a live interview? or am i just paranoid? :)

i think princeton is saying that you're worthless...just kidding.
i've never heard of that before, but it probably just means that either there isn't an interview close to you, or the interviewer that is close to you doesn't have time to meet with you in your town.

i don't know..you may be right...but i am just half an hour to forty five minutes away from the university

bump bump bmp

well, I have no interview at all, so I'd say you got the better deal....

yeh that's what i have come to realize...i'm sorry that you haven't gotten yours yet..maybe u'll get a thanksgiving gift tho!

are you sure that was the interview and they werent just calling to see if you had ?'s

Pretty sure... exact words..."Hi my name is ------ from Princeton Alumni Service (or something like that). I'm calling to schedule your phone interview for next week."

I hope so, though they better call after Sat.---I won't be home otherwise. But maybe they just aren't interviewing me because they already have me in the definite "Accept" or (gulp) "Reject" piles, haha.

i told her what time was good for me and everything was set...

i had many phone interviews... they were good. lol jk... i dont think they should do phone interviews at all... that's just not...

Yes, but you're so practiced that you would have the best phone interview of anyone in the whole Princeton applicant pool!

lol seriously, pw lives with the phone glued to his face.

Phone interviews seem weird. I'd like to see my interviewer's face. And luckily, I know what my interviewer looks like already, lol. Yay for google.

See if you can request an in-person interview. Or at least ask if phone interviews are the norm.

ok ill try to do that

haha, you googled your interviewer, zant? Oh wow. Haha, that's initiative right there!

is the admissions office open today? it's not even five and no one is answering the phone

i also googled my mit interviwer.. and found that out he got his bachelors and masters in 4 years at mit.... there is nothing wrong with googling your interviewer. i'd recommend it..

lol it wasn't so simple, philntex...
I tried googling my interviewer's name but I didn't have it spelled right and it was too common anyway.
So I tried to look him up on princton's alumni network but you have to be a member...

So then I googled the address he gave me (which wasn't specific..it was a huge building with more than 50 floors) found some random lawfirms, went to their websites, did a lawyer search and ta-da found my interviewer. So now I know all this stuff about him that he has never told me. I hope he won't think I'm stalkerish.

And the best part? I've never spoken to him. This is all from an answering machine message.

bows

I tried googling my interviewer but came up with nada.
