Phone question

My son is planning to bring his cell phone and charger on I Day for the two calls home in July. Will he have any problems if his phone is an I Phone? Since he will have the phone stored for him, there is no way it can be used during summer, but will it be a problem after summer since it has MP3 capabilities? Any advice?

I would worry more about it being broken over the summer than anything else. Buy a "go phone" or something similar; BUT, ensure that messaging is turned off. We didn't know that a go phone continues to receive messages from the previous owner and any day it receives a message, the phone is charged a minimum of $1.00. Anyway, this worked over the summer until we got a new phone.

some plebes during the academic year had i-phones. they did not rate the "media" aspect of music, but could use them for phone calls. they are on their honor to respect the limitations. there shouldn't be a problem during the summer though, since the phones are taken away and returned only for the calls home (and charging the night before).

i heard an idea to bubble wrap the phones and chargers to protect them. just some food for thought.

Do not make it hard for the cadre. They need to charge the phones before the phone calls. Last thing they will want to do is have to unwrap phones and there is no way they will rewrap after the first call. Ziplock bag is all you need.
