Photo/memory blog in "additional information" section?

Hello!

I’m applying to Yale SCEA. In the “additional information” section, I am putting my summer activities (I do not have room for them in the activities section; even getting down to ten year-round activities was difficult). I have a photo/memory blog from the trips I take, and am wondering if I should put the link to it in the additional information section. I am NOT a photographer nor am I looking to do anything related to photography in college, but I have done a lot of educational travel during high school (school trips to France, Dutch exchange program, National Geographic trip to Peru, countless debate trips, etc.) and I update the blog with pictures and little tidbits of information about my trips. I absolutely love to travel, and languages are one of my main interest. Should I include this in the additional info section? Is there any way including it could hurt my app?

Thanks!

Do you think they’ll have time to look at it? What would it tell them about you besides “I like to travel,” which most people do? How is this different from an acquaintance’s Facebook vacation album (which, personally, I tend to ‘like’ and move on)?

If you’re not a photographer, no. If you are a photographer, and National Geographic sent you to Peru on their nickel and published your photos, maybe.

Admissions people are busy. On your lucky day, they will bypass unnecessary time sucks. On an unlucky day, they’ll hold it against you.

I think, more often than not, it will hurt your application. On a bad day, it will kill your chances.
