I just registered for the december SAT test
but i clicked "skip and continue" button for the photo requirement.
Is the photo requirement necessary? do i need to go back and reregister?

No the photo won’t be necessary until January. You should be able to print your admission ticket out if you registered correctly.

Based on my experience with SAT and ACT, you are now registered, but you have a certain amount of time to upload a photo. They list very strict requirements, but my daughter’s photo was not quite the quality they specified. She had no problems on test day.

It’s a stupid requirement. People who are going to cheat will still find a way around it.

The photo is NOT required until the March 2013 test. However if you upload a photo now that is not acceptable to the test administrators you will not be admitted on test day.

This information is straight from the CB customer service. If you are skeptical, call them and ask.

Huh. I didn’t realize it wasn’t already in place. When I registered my daughter in September for the 10/12 SAT, it seemed to me that it was required. Maybe they just wanted it to appear that way. (I’m being serious, not sarcastic!)

yes, they do want it to appear that way (that it is required now) and the registration system on their website is totally misleading with lots of 'MUST"s and intimidating warnings about the photos. However, as OP discovered, you can successfully complete a registration by clicking through the “continue” buttons at the bottom of the registration pages.

If you look hard enough the March 2013 deadline is confirmed on several CB webpages.
