I'm applying to Pratt for architecture and putting together my portfolio (which I technically do not need b/c my GPA is above the requirement) and was wondering if I could include photographs I have taken or would they rather seen drawings/paintings. Could I/ should I include 2 photographs or a David Hockney inspired piece I created?

I would say that you should talk to a counselor at Pratt. I know for my dd, each time she had a question regarding her portfolio and a school, she would speak to her admissions counselor or any admissions counselor, as each school has different requirements for what they really want to see in a portfolio. The only thing about photography that I can say generally, is if it is not super interesting and different, I would not include it. Generic work will not help, in my opinion. Good luck!
