I'm only a sophomore in HS, but I'm already searching for a good photo school. I love only two things in life with my heart and soul; bmx and photography. I have zero academic interests whatsoever. In fact, I hate school, excluding the obvious socialization factor. I'm a "get by" kind of guy, mostly C's. So I'm not looking for any school that requires real admissions standards (I doubt I'll even take the damn SAT). So far, I'm really considering School of Visual Arts in NYC, and Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara. Does anybody here know of some other good choices?

I toured the new art and design at Northern Michigan in Marquette. The photo lab was the best i have ever seen. I worked for a film video editor and saw lots of labs. NMU's photo dark rooms had seats for a full class, booth style, air deducts that left no chem smells, wash stations, and the studio space was enormous with lots of light beams and ceiling girths for lighting. Your grades are totally acceptable at this college. Your portfolio could set a high bar for achievement at any university. NMU is a safety and an match for you. Visit the web site they have live web cams and stuff, total laptop campus and all.
