Oh wow! My son just started grad school at Northwestern. I’ve never seen the campus and of course I’ve seen no photos from him. We probably won’t be able to visit until Spring but I will definitely also plan a trip for next Fall. Looks gorgeous.

I think in some ways Gehry is more a sculpture at heart than an architect, so I’m really please to hear that he actually got good acoustics. It’s amazing how many modern architects have made auditoriums that just don’t work.

We decided to indulge in New Orleans Halloween. City Park did not disappoint, the decorations were beautiful, and Bourbon Street was overflowing with energy.

We have a family photo wall in our family room that includes pics of our dogs. Poor Finn, our most recent who we’ve had for over two years now, still isn’t up on the wall. So this morning, we took some photos of him in the area behind our house and he was quite the cooperative photogenic boy!

We’re catsitting too. Kona (cat) used to live with all of us, so this is her house too, and she gets very comfy and happy here. I love your cuties!

Yeah, I finally figured it out! It’s not a new acronym for me, since one of my daughters wears one regularly. I don’t know why Ruth Bader Feline came to mind. But I appreciate my little burst of creativity while guessing - doesn’t happen much anymore!

Made the choice for the family pic wall.
Added some red leaves to try to match the couch better. Dulled the grass color to match our pics on the wall. I added some red touches to the others too, but you can’t see it in the pic. Gonna have to rearrange to put the people in one row, and the dogs (and photoshopped cat) in a row below.
Btw, the wall is supposed to be rust colored! The lighting makes it look awful. Think I’m going to have to repaint a darker color so it doesn’t look like a melon. It’s all still a work in progress!

Beautiful fall morning here in San Diego. One of the benefits of being up early since our travels to Europe is seeing the sunrise!
