What a fun video!

It’s a lot of fun watching him run and play. The camera really only catches a snapshot of time. It’s great stress relief! I’m looking forward to when we have two babies because they’ll play together. In the “old days” we had 4-6 every year. Having “just” 3 adults on the farm makes chores seem so easy (and honestly, unless it’s cwapy weather outside, it’s rarely “chores”).

I definitely feel fortunate to be able to enjoy them for the past few decades.

OMG that is beyond adorable! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Love horses. We lived on a street of horse acre lots and bigger. Several families had horses, so baby kid always packed an apple or some carrots in her lunch box. Kid and her buddies walked to and from school, and on the way home, they would stop to say hi to the local horses and give them some treats.

In the future, beware of apples. Too many eaten by any one equine can make them sick. People around here have asked if they can feed our ponies treats (as some owners don’t like theirs being fed). For us, it’s good for the ponies to associate all sorts of people with being “good” (part of their training - esp for future kids’ ponies), so we tell them carrots are fine, nothing else + of course, stay on the outside of the fence.

Otherwise, one pony pasture is right next to a family with really noisy young kids (4) and they can do fireworks, bonfires, and such things in season too. A lot of farm machinery uses our road too, again, right next to another pasture. Many people would be upset. We’re quite happy for the ponies to be able to get used to such things as normal. Then, when ours sell, we’re always told how calm, cool, and collected they are - even around noise, traffic, and farm equipment, etc! It’s all very helpful for future show ponies who might have carnival rides and noises at the showgrounds.

I shudder when I catch people, esp kids, inside the pastures though. Young ponies are very unpredictable and when people don’t know what they are doing, it could certainly get dangerous. (I doubt your kids/friends went inside - just putting this last bit in as a PSA for anyone reading.)

Love seeing your photos @Creekland! I grew up trail riding every weekend in the spring/summer/fall and miss it so much. Whenever we vacation, I try to find a place to ride.

That said, I’ve been stepped on, bitten, and nearly thrown a couple of times. Good PSA that people need to be cautious!

That baby is so adorable - I love his front and back socks. Socks is most likely too simple of a name. How about Corona? The diamond marking reminds me of Sea Star from the Misty of Chincoteague books.

We’re in South Central, PA.

In case anyone is wondering, this little dude is likely spoken for by a “regular” customer who has eagerly been awaiting what we have this year hoping for a buckskin colt. Time will tell for sure on her interest - esp if we get lucky and have two buckskin colts (one from our other broodmare later).

Socks is a bit simple and we’re 100% against staying away from any theme associated with the pandemic. If we go with a medical theme it’s because our son is graduating from med school this spring.

We’re also contemplating a 7 Wonders theme too. (It’s a card/board game we love playing.)

Playing with the camera on my new iPhone mini. I’m waiting to see if I can get a picture of the pink super moon; currently behind a cloud.

I saw the black and white socks and thought “domino”.

Another day, another hike. We just loved how the sidewalk and the stairs just casually descend into the water.

If anyone wants another young pony video fix, I took one this morning (1 1/2 minutes). He loves getting out!

I love how many different and beautiful sunsets we get.

I think I took a sunset picture every day we were at the Cape last summer and last fall. Here’s one.

My “bonus” amaryllis bloom (this tiny bulb already had 2 giant stalks of 4 flowers each).

The desert is in full bloom right now. Our neighbor’s cactus is lovely:

Our ocotillo and hibiscus are blooming, too:
