I was wondering....
if i were to choose psychology as my undergrad major what can the course lead to in terms of graduate school paths? or even careers?
Thanks

Majoring in psych can lead in a lot of different directions

-Taking some bio and chem classes can get you into med school

You might even be able to get into Law school or business school with a psych degree. My father was an english major with a psych minor, and he went to Law school and business school

You could be a therapist.

-You could get a Ph.D in Clinical Psych, Experimental Psych, Developmental Psych, Evolutionary Psych, Educational Psych, Cognitive Psych, and many other "psychs". You could then do research, be a professor, or work with businesses on various psych-related matters.

Psych is known as a pretty easy major, and the major for people who don't really know what they want to do. It is also a popular major among Pre-Med students who flunk out of their Pre-Med classes (which are incredibly difficult). You have many options with a psych degree, from therapy, to industrial relations, to law, to neuroscience, to politics, to business management.

alright thanks

check out the student page on www.apa.org (american psychological association)- lots of great info/links on what you can do with a psych degree
