So I made the mistake of signing up for PHYS 2207 (calculus based) during pre-enroll, but I have no calculus background at all. I meant to switch to PHYS 1101 during add/drop, but somehow this class is over enrolled by 23! I'm a junior so I need to take physics this year for premed prereqs, and 1101 is much better for me since there is much more flexibility for me and my busy schedule. What options do I have/is there any way 23 people might drop before class starts?

How are you a junior premed with no calculus background? Even if your high school didn’t have calc you could have taken calc in your first two years at cornell seriously.

yeah, I thought calculus was required for med school?

The math requirement varies by school. The med school I work for does not require any math (one of the few I know of). Most schools require Calc 1/Calc 2 and statistics course or Calc 1 and stats.

OP: do you really have no college level calc background?

Hey OP, I just dropped 1101.
