Physcian Assistant

<p>What do physican assistant programs require.. In addition they say they want health care experience but Im wondeirng how will i obtain that if im applying to the program right after graduating from college. Also do physcian assistnat get paid comfortably</p>

<p>Look up physician assistant programs. Most require a bachelors degree: including anatomy, biology, microbiology, statistics, psychology/sociology… The schools list what you need to take. Volunteer at a hospital. Occupational Outlook Handbook for your money question.</p>

<p>Pre-PA requirements vary by program. Consult the websites of any specific programs you’re interested in. But generally, pre-req include: biology, gen chem, micro, anatomy & physiology, micro, stats, psych, plus 30 combined credits in bio, chem, physics beyond the pre-reqs.</p>

<p>Coursework in biochem, ochem, genetics and other upper level human bio strongly recommended.</p>

<p>Many programs require a minimum of 1 year (~2000 hours) of direct hands-on patient care experience. Working as EMT or CNA (part time during the school year and full time during summers) are common ways of gaining this experience.</p>
