Can these be taken for an unsatisfactory/satisfactory? Will they still count towards our GPAs? The website says they "may" be taken for S/U? Do we have to decide when we register for the courses... so are there options with ones that are S/U and others that offer letter grades? Can anyone explain how this works? Also, are the other General Education requirements GPA killers? or are they fairly easy? Thanks.

I been told by students year above me that these GER’s aren’t difficult. Most of the GER’s can be filled by introductory courses and provided that you do the reading/hw you should do well on them. I heard Gym was supposed to be an easy “A” if you showed enough effort and bothered to show up for the classes :d

Yes, that’s exactly how it works, except I believe you can change it pretty late in the semester. I wouldn’t recommend doing S/U though cuz as impervious0ne said , those classes are easy As.

okay… so wait, can someone else comment on how “easy” it is to get As in these PE classes. I’m not exactly the most athletic person but I do enjoy sports. I can play sports at an average/above aberage level.

I took both of mine S/U. If you get an A, it doesn’t help your GPA much (it’s only a one-hour), and if you get a B, it’s a nuisance for your record. I took PPF Jogging while I had a thyroid condition and it just killed me. You never know if you’ll want to skip it as many times as possible
