Physical Preparation?

Hey all, I'm going to be taking the test on the 24th. Right around the corner.

Anyways, for the seasoned veterans here, do you feel that either eating or not eating affected your score at all? And would caffeine be helpful or harmful? I have to admit to being a bit of a natural insomniac, so I could use a boost of energy somehow.

How about taking a jog prior to testing?

Is there anything in particular that worked/didn't work for you?

Thanks.

don't do anything that's not routine. Do what you're used to, and you'll feel fine.

^ That's the best advice anyone can give you.

It's prob healthier if you eat breakfast regularly, but if you don't, it might be uncomfortable to do so for one day.

Eat a light, not heavy! breakfast for energy and just stay calm to allievate stress. Get ready with pencils and calculator the night before and just read the section that are on every SAT books "What to do on test day or the night before test day or something like that." I would bring water because it is a long long test, but do bathroom before the test, obviously. Do not drink caffeine and only jog if you use exercise to allievate stress, but don't tire yourself out. Last note, do not study and cram everything to study on the last day, just relax the day before the test, because many people do this and that is bad test taking skills. True statement: "40% of how well you do depends on how you feel that day" so feel optimistic and positive. Good luck!

My brain does not function if I'm hungry, so I stuff myself an hour before the test to get over a sleepy spell and feel enrgized afterwards.

Do, do, do eat. I remember the first time I took the sat and I scored low because I was fasting.
