Physical Test problems

Hi, some certain colleges ask to pass a type of Physical Training Tests, and I was wondering if any of y'all had any training tips to help in increasing the repetitions done in these exercises

Push Ups (2 minutes, 47 is minimum)
Pull Ups (unlimited time, at least 7)

well i dont really have too much of a problem on push ups, i got around 62 on my best day, but pull ups are starting to become more of a problem (i've gained around 10 pounds in the last month, now 145)
I used to be able to do about 10 at best, but now i struggle with 7!
anyone know any tips to help increase that number?

What colleges require physical tests??? The academies???

^yeh, the academies

Do more pull ups to build the essensial arm muscle. Boxing or using a punching bag will use your quick twitch fibers and help burn excess fat in your arms in addition to building muscle. If you jump rope, run, do circuts, Xtrain, et cetera you will burn body fat in your legs and torso reducing your body weight. Nothing short of training or taking anabolic steriods (I've heard some bad things happen with these, lol) will help you, unless you mutate or something.
