Physical Therapy School with low gpa?

I just graduated with a 2.9 undergrad gpa with a Bachelors in Kinesiology: Exercise Science. I know that it is a pretty low gpa and would not have a chance to get into a DPT program right now. In order to raise my overall gpa, do I need to take post bacc classes or just retake prerequisites at a community college. I still need to to a physics, bio, chem, and psychology but might retake anatomy and phys to get better grades. I also just got a job as a PT Aide to get the hours necessary. So my main question is whether I should just take prerequisites at a community college or go back to a post bacc program to raise my undergrad gpa?

A kid I know well just got into a PT program, I however, don’t know much about his detailed background. But I know this much:

  1. PT programs are very competitive as well and some better schools such as UCSF receives 2000 or more applications interviewed 200 and takes in maybe 50.
  2. In any case, it will look better to retake prerequisites in a 4 year college, as normal adcomms view community college has a lower quality academic.
