Hello, I'm really looking into schools with BS/DPT programs...usually 6 year programs. I am located in central nj and looking for schools in my area, or around the tri-state area. My parents are willing to pay about 20k-30k a year. I really can't seem to find any schools that fit my criteria. Help me please!

anyone? bump!

Check out Sacred Heart, University of Scranton, and Ithaca. Although they are private colleges, depending on your gpa, sat’s, class rank, etc., they may give you enough financial aid to bring you within your 20-30k range.

Ithaca seems to be the only school with a combined program…and Im more along the lines of 20k…hmmmm

P.T. is a rare major but check Quinnipiac because it’s curricula is superb in terms of covering body systems. I know-having been serviced by a PT grad/lecturer there. I know USC has a good program too.

Have you checked out PITT. The program is ranked # 2 in the country with USC at #1. Excellent medical community. Very highly competitive program. You need to obtain a BS meeting DPT requirements first.

SUNY Buffalo (UB) would be under 30K for the undergrad portion of the program and gives merit aid as well.

If you’re open to OOS, you might also want to take a look into Chapman University’s Bridge DPT program. I’ve heard they have a top notch program.
“The Bridge Program guarantees excellent Health Science students a seat in Chapman Universitys Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program and makes them eligible for scholarship money awarded to outstanding, incoming DPT students.”

Chapman has great merit-aid and grant programs. Worth looking into. To see how satisfy their students are, here’s a slideshow of this year’s graduated class.
