Physician's Assistant

Is anyone here going for PA?
I am interested and just wanted to see where other people are at and what their undergrad is?

Anything would help.

Thanks!

I’m also somewhat intrigued by the idea. I was looking into a 5 year BS/MS program to become a Physician Assistant at the University of Detroit Mercy. I toured there and I liked the people, but the neighborhood surrounding the campus was, expectedly, grungy.

I live in Ohio and I am looking at UToledo or UFindlay for the master’s program. I notice that at UToledo, there are certain prereq. classes that is needed. But im not sure if I should major in psych or something more in the science field or not.
I want to work in Emergency Medicine.

We’re with smartcookie on this. I researched this for my son and found about a dozen 5 year programs where they admit you as a freshman (no GRE). Son just finished his first year at one of these schools, Gannon University in Erie, PA. He likes emergency medicine, too. Most of the regular masters’ programs required some type of medical experience, such as becoming a paramedic for a year before enrolling in a PA program.

Does anyone have a list of the 5-year BS/MS programs?

Butler University has a 5 yr BS/MS

Berwyn, the ones I remember from a year ago and hours of research are Marquette (WI), Butler (IN), Springfield (MA), Wagner (NY), Mercy (MI) and at least 8 schools in PA. I found a list of all the accredited PA schools in the U.S. and went to every single web site. I believe that was over 200 web sites.
