Physics 140/240

I am an incoming freshman for the University of Michigan College of Engineering. Two of my required classes are Physics 140 and 240. I want to try and start studying this summer for these classes. Does anyone have any suggestions, such as the textbook used, materials used, or even anything i can study this summer to get a head start?

For PHYSICS 140: [LSA Course Guide](<a href=“FA 2012 | PHYSICS 140 - General Physics I | Section 100”>FA 2012 | PHYSICS 140 - General Physics I | Section 100)
For PHYSICS 240: [LSA Course Guide](<a href=“FA 2012 | PHYSICS 240 - General Physics II | Section 100”>FA 2012 | PHYSICS 240 - General Physics II | Section 100)

enjoy your last summer as a high school student. the time you put into studying the physics material now will not provide you with the best returns when the exams for the class start rolling in.

but, if you must study ahead, just read through the textbooks. actually, if you are in ann arbor (or willing to make the trip), i have the textbooks for 140 and 240 that i can sell for fraction of the market resell value.

Rockbiter, thanks!
feathr, I’ll be in UMICH from June 26-28
