<p>the ben franklin seminars page says that the prof prefers that students register for math 240, but that students taking math 114 have done well in the past. i only covered material up to 114 in my BC class so i'm sure i wouldn't place into 240. has anyone taken physics170 that could offer an opinion? is math240 practically necessary? should i just register for 150 instead?</p>
<p>Take 114. Register for 170 and try it out. If it seems too tough you can drop it and take 150. Many people drop 170 after the first few classes.</p>
