I currently have Corbin, and as people should know his class is ridiculously hard. After the first midterm the average was around 30%. Sadly, my score was around 20-25%. As a heads up, if this keeps up and I'm somehow not able to improve my grade, will I be failing this course? He claims that he doesn't like to use scores to decide your grade. Has anyone else been in this situation too, and somehow passed this class? I would like to know the grade you got too.

if 30% is the average and he doesn't curve..most people will fail and he will be audited like professor pang was

what do you mean by audited?

As far as Corbin goes, I believe this is what his philosophy was to us when I went to workshop. He just wants you to work hard and put a decent effort in. Show a decent improvement, start going to workshop and/or office hours. He's definitely tough, but he's one of the good professors here at UCLA, he wants you to learn and truly enjoys teaching.

You're not going to fail, but you'll likely end up with a C/C+ at this rate.
