Hi all,

I'm an engineering student at fsu, and due to unforeseen circumstances, I'm in desperate need of an online physics class. I had found one at a school in Florida, but it was just canceled due to lack of registration. The only school within an hour of me at my summer location(Massachusetts) has $2000 tuition for the one class.

So, does anyone know of a school that offers an online physics 1 with calculus? It can have proctored exams, but I can't go to the campus. The course number of what I need at Florida state is phy2048c, which is 5 credits including the lab, if that helps.

Thanks alot

Ah, wrong title. I’m looking for physics 1. Sorry

Sorry for 3 posts in a row. The physics class needs to be during summer. Thanks

online physcis 1 w/ lab? I don’t think that is possible and you might not find it.

Online, the only school I can think of is University of North Dakota. They have undergrad distance EE degree so the class they offer might work for you.

Looks like Physics 1 is in the fall…

Why do you have to do it online? If you need it that bad, it will only take 2 months over the summer.

Bare minimum: the lab portion will be on-campus as will the exams.

Look at local community colleges.

I’ve never seen an online Physics 1 class.

Calc based physics will be hard to find over the summer anywhere, online even more so.

Not at a community college.

Yeah I’m not having any luck. I’ve found multiple online algebra based physics, but I’ve already taken that.

Taking it at fsu over summer is not an option. I have a commitment to my job and not going for 2 months would leave me unable to pay for school.

Thanks for the help.

Just have to wait and take it during the year.

Good luck

Check all of the community colleges and four year schools near where your job (in Florida?) is to see if they offer PHY2048C or PHY2048 and PHY2048L. Both FSU and FAMU have summer offerings of those courses, but it looks like you will not be in that area for your job.

It may be more difficult if you will be outside of Florida, since the courses may not be exactly the same.

Otherwise, you are probably a semester behind on starting the physics courses, which may mean planning for an extra semester to graduate if the physics courses are part of a long prerequisite sequence.

Here ya go. 4 credits, lab included. NC State.

NC State is a wonderful school. They have distance courses because they offer a 2+2 program at various CC’s in NC. My school is one of them. :)

Awesome! Thank you so much!

Does anyone know of any others? The NC State ourse is full and so is the waitlist
