Here's the deal:
I'm a bioengineering major transferring to UCSD Fall 2010. The problem is, because of how lame community colleges are, I can't get as much calculus and physics done before going as I would like. Ideally, I'd like to start with Physics 2B once I go, so I can get a lot of upper division done in my first year.

The problem is, because of major cuts to funding, my community college isn't offering Physics 2A's equivalent in summer. Plus, I'd rather take it doing cross enrollment so I can get used to a UCSD structure.

The problem:
It requires concurrent enrollment in Math 20B.

I understand Physics 2A requires calculus for exams and problems, but it's not like I'm going to forget all my calculus. I plan on auditing Math 20B once I finish 20A with cross enrollment so I can keep math fresh, along with taking Math 20B in the summer, since that class ironically will still be offered. (which to me, is rather ignorant. Almost everyone taking 20B, needs Physics 2A. And Physics 2A requires concurrent enrollment in 20B. Why offer 20B without offering 2A? The ONLY people in Math 20B who don't need Physics 2A are math majors.)

You guys think it's possible to petition as a cross enrolled student to get into Physics 2A without concurrent enrollment? I'm really stressed about this, if I know for sure I can't do it, I'm just going to study 20A independently over winter break and try to test out of it before Winter starts.
