Physics 303L Professors

Does anyone know who would be best? The choices are Turner, Chiu, or Hoffmann.

If you don't have personal knowledge, can you tell me which websites are good for looking up professors?

Wuts up!

Try using ratemyprofessors.com to get scores based on the teacher, all I know is I have to take Physics in the Fall, and theres a teacher I’m aiming for but I’ll have to get back to you on who that is lol

so is your DS taking PHY 303k at community college and 303l at UT?

Yes, he found out 303L is a co-req for a class he’s taking in the fall. He had thought he could wait until next summer to take 303L. Oops.

I wouldn’t normally ask for help for him in finding profs, but I remember how hard 303L was for me! I was NOT impressed with my professor, and I hate for him to go through a bad experience.

myedu.com is great

I have not personally taken 303L yet, but I have heard that it is a very brutal class. However, hundreds of kids take it and make As and Bs every semester and based on your son’s stats I would say he is definitely lined up to be one of those kids.

It may not be fun but if your 1500+ SAT, etc. son can’t handle it, how the heck is anyone supposed to pass it at UT?

You have a point, wolframalpha! He’s had some health issues this year, though, that have made things tougher for him. I’m a worrying mother, I can’t help it! (He got 1470, by the way!) :)

I checked the myedu site (thanks for that!), and the professor he had signed up for looks to be the best and easiest (40% As).
