Has anyone taken or know someone who took physics 6A with Huang or Huffman? HELP me decideeeee

Huang means Huan Z. Huang?

I had Huang for 6A in Spring 2010. His lectures are pretty dull, and his accent takes some getting used to, but his exams are very straight forward and he gives LOTS of partial credit. HW is done on the computer and you can find any of the answers by putting the question into Google (obviously I’m not a fan a physics…). Also, he gives you a cheat sheet on both of the midterms as well as the final. The only perk of his lectures though are the demonstrations, which come at least once per week. Some of the stuff is pretty fun to watch.

Labs for both professors are combined, but I’ll just say that my lab was the easiest thing I’ve ever done in my life. I mean… there are no lab reports… and no grading… literally.

The biggest thing for 6A is getting the equations and knowing where to use them. Huang is good at giving examples for problems and trying to make sure students understand the concepts. He’s pretty approachable outside of class and is happy to repeat anything from lecture. He knows he has a strong accent, but still wants to make sure everyone can understand him.

Unfortunately, I do not know very much about Huffman, but I hope I’ve helped you out!!! Good luck!
