i totally bombed the two midterms in physics 7a, i did way below average (like at least 20 pts below), basically if i did the same for the final, would i not pass the class...i mean it's not like math 1b or anything where the class is designed to weed out science and engineering majors, what's the passing rate for physics 7a? i thought you'd have to do really well to get an A or a B, but can a C be guaranteed for me then? i'm so worried because given the way i've been doing for the midterms, i won't do well on the final either...any suggestions from ppl who've taken physics 7a before?

it mostly depends on the professor. My roommate last year took with Boggs, got a perfect score on the first one, bombed the second one, and I think he did so-so on the final and pulled off an A. Just keep studying so you can ace the final, since the final is probably worth two midterms combined, and you might pull off a C, and if you really ace it, you might even get a B.
Also, there are online physics homework system that goes into your grade calculation, if I am not mistaken, so do well on those.

yea, but then hw and labs are only 5% of the grade, each midterm is worth 20% and the final 40%, so usually what is the passing rate for physics? i heard that you'll have to really fail to fail physics, like the bottom 10% don't get to pass, but i'm probably close to being the bottom 10%, i'm taking it with the easier prof though (ramesh), i mean i'm nothing compared to your roomie cuz he aced the first midterm, i failed the midterms and probably will fail the final too, i hate physics so i just want to pass the class and move on, the question is whether i will pass it or not given i did slightly better on the final than the midterms

you should go talk to your professor in his office hours. He will most likely give you an honest opinion on how you will end up. Just go tell him your situation, and ask him if you have any realistic chance of passing the class.

I was going to say the same thing. You need to talk to the professor directly.

You can go to pickaprof.com and find your prof's percentage of F's.

I only know it's about 65% A's and B's
