Physics 7C exam

What's on the 7C exam? I know there's vectors, but is there anything more?

I have taken an algebra/trig based physics course that covered only a bit of mechanics. Should I take the exam? I want to start studying.

Thanks!!! :)

I have to take this exam, too, but I don’t think it’s good to study for it, so that you get into the right Physics class where you can learn stuff, eh…

Physics 2 will not prepare you for Physics 7C that well, from what most of my friends who took the class last year said. The better way to prep for Physics 7C would be to skim the material beforehand and get the concepts in each chapter down (torque, angular momentum, etc.) I haven’t heard of anyone claiming Physics 2 helped them for 7C so far.

I’m also worried about this, I finished physics 3 series, but want to do more quantitative work in grad school, should I retake physics 7 as a 4th year?

I agree with Dorkdorkdork, I checked the Physics 2 syllabus and it’s lousy. I already calculus 1 and 2 and well I already know some kinematics. . .
I have University Physics by Freedman sitting on my self so I probably will get a head start before I take 7C in the fall.
