<p>How much of 8b is dependent on 8a material..?
I'm debating to put off 8b or stats 131a off to my senior year..</p>

<p>very dependent. all the 8b stuff is based on concepts you learned in 8a. in fact, my professor (zettl) even through in a few 8a questions in there on the midterms.</p>
<p>I disagree. I am finding that 8B has very little to do with 8A. At least E&M doesn’t. I have Charman.</p>
<p>I can definitely see how a lot of the 8b stuff builds on what you learn in 8a (except maybe the optics section). With that said, simply knowing your 8a stuff really well will only help you so much in 8b, because you learn a lot of new material.</p>
<p>yeah 8b is completely new stuff. there might be only like 3 equations from 8a you need to know.</p>
