How is physics 8a graded, anyone know? Thanks

if you're in falcone's lecture, which i'm enrolled in, it's not curved. if you think you didn't do too well on today's midterm, don't worry because it's only 15% of our grade anyway.

not to be a smarta$$, but i thought his midterm was a little on the easy side (not complaining at all). i heard bad things about kolomensky's midterm, which was supposedly much harder than ours.

Just wonder if anyone know what percent is an A to A+ last year, thnx

yeah I had kolomensky, there was material on there that wasn't even on the book. It was in the lecture, and required an esoteric equation he wrote on the board almost as a sidenote. shucks.

lol 45 people in our class got a 100, out of 290ish people... i took a look at kolomensky's midterm, and it was a little harder, but not as horrible as people had said.

45 people did not get 100% on your midterm, about 6-8 did (or so).

the email response from kolomensky:

The grade boundaries are 85-100=A, 70-84=B, 50-69=C, 25-49=D, and 20% of each band on low and high side for +/- grades.

Yury

yeah my bad i misread the scores. apparently the score at the bottom that read "100" was actually "90-100". So 45 people got in that range, which seems more realistic.

the grading scheme for falcone's class is same as above

I want to take Physics with Falcone. Such a cool name. Like the Batman villain. You can just hiss it..."Faalconeee."
