From the website it looks like astronomy is not available as an undergraduate. My daughter is interested in a physics major with an astronomy minor or at least astronomy classes available. Any information on that from anyone who goes there or knows the program? Thank you!
Astronomy is available at the undergraduate level either as an immersion (a 3 course sequence outside of the major required for graduation) or as a minor. If you google ‘RIT immersions’ that should get you to a website discussing the different immersions (which has links to the majors/minors pages as well.) I also suggest you google ‘RIT Course Catalog 2018’ and go to the interactive catalog. There you can see the various course offerings, which semester(s) the course is offered, what (if any) prerequisites the course might have, and how many sections were held in the latest semester.
Thanks so much!
