My D is very interested in majoring in physics or math. Does anyone know anything about either subject at F & M? Can you recommend a professor in either department to meet with or observe a class with? Thank you!

Barbara Nimershiem is my calculus 3 teacher, but is also head of the math department. She teaches a challenging course but if you put it the hours you will earn yourself a good grade. Her husband is currently teaching intro to higher math, a class that is available to students after calculus 3. My room mate has nothing but good things to say about her husband (I think his name is Professor Ressler).

outside bump on this, because i’m also interested (esp. physics). how good are these departments at f&m? would research be available? do f&m students frequently go to top grad schools?
