Physics at Berkeley

As a high school student who is looking at possibly taking Berkeley courses over the summer, I was wondering what physics course to take (I’n very interested in physics, probably going to major in it).
I am taking Physics C, and was wondering what to take if I were to go take a course over there.
If someone can direct me to a kind of “map” of physics courses or “routes” to take, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

The introductory physics sequence for physics and engineering majors is Physics 7A, 7B, 7C. There are honors courses available (though probably not in the summer) which are Physics H7A, H7B, H7C. Note that these have co-requisites of Math 1B, 53, 54.

The physics department generally does not allow AP physics credit to substitute for any physics courses for the physics major.

Other physics courses are Physics 8A, 8B for pre-meds and biology majors, and Physics 10 or C10 for non-majors.

More from the physics department: http://physics.berkeley.edu/academics/undergraduate-degree/the-major-and-minor-program .

Ask the physics department directly on the use of AP calculus credit toward the physics major in substitution for Math 1A and/or 1B. The math department has recommendations at https://math.berkeley.edu/courses/choosing/ap-exams and old exams that you can try at https://math.berkeley.edu/courses/archives/exams .

Old physics exams can be found at https://tbp.berkeley.edu/courses/physics/ .

@ucbalumnus Thanks!
