PHYSICS at U of Miami?

How is the department and the professors at the university? and how often would undergraduates get the oppurtunity to do research?

anyone know?

I'm sorry, I'm not very familiar with the Physics dept. I'll let you know if I find out anything from my son.

I graduated a couple of years ago with an engineering degree and had to take a lot of physics classes. The professors will demand a lot from you, but will also give a lot in return, and they are extremely accessible.

Check out the link below for an example of how much effort some of the professors put into their classes. The book is very complete, and used at several other universities. It's just an all around great reference. I use it to this day at my job, when I've got to do a little math refresher.

Also note the intended level (undergrad) of the book vs. the contents. It's a lot of material.
