Hey just post some questions and ill either answer them or look up and figure out the answer... and try to explain cause explaining and answering questions really helps me to study.... if i cant answer urs or find it or go to bed before cause im in england... later here... then sorry

Can you help me with phase changes when waves enter one medium from another? the 1/2 lamda stuff..

How do you figure out those things

do u mean like n(1)sin(x1)=n(2)sin(x2)?

or like the thin film stuff? dunno exactly what u want but fairly good at that stuff so if u can be more specific i think i can help

I meant the thin film stuff with the phase change. What i'm not sure is exactly what we need to know for that. Like, knowing the refracted ray travel twice the distance and has a phase change to be in phase with the reflected.

Basically, it's the thin film interfrence stuff.

I can't remember them anymore

A block of mass 3.0 kg is hung from a spring, causing it to stretch 12 cm at equilibrium, as shown above. The 3.0 kg block is then replaced by a 4.0 kg block, and the new block is released from the position shown above, at which the spring is unstretched. How far will the 4.0 kg block fall before its direction is reversed?
a. 9 cm b. 18 cm c. 24 cm d. 32 cm e. 48 cm

igot 16

16 will bring it to equilibrium add another 16 to get the maximum before its reversed which is 32 or d.

... @ moment i got 16 to... let me double check a few things to make sure were not missing something

and as for the thin film... ive only come by it once in all my review and stuff and it was on a free response... its not something im focusing on cause i think i can figure it out on the test if there is anything... but i dont think there will... dont quote me on that though...

oh yea dondilx is right.. thats what i was gonna double check...

thx guys!!!!!

Ok cool, I just saw it on 2006 free response and that's why i got worried..I need to stop panicking...

And yeah I got 32 for that question.

Yea it was just like the last part of that one question wasnt it?... yea i dont really freak out for tests which is nice for me... dunno why i just dont... but if its encouraging at all... I already took AB calc and though it was way easier than any of the AB tests i had done earlier... so im hopin its that way for physics :D

What is this objective asking?:
Relate the heats exchanged at each thermal reservoir in a Carnot cycle to the temperatures of the reservoirs.

umm maybe that the greater the range of the 2 temperatures that the greater the heat will be exchanged which means in a greater efficiency?... thatd be my guess

im going to bed... its 11 here in england... and gotta love that my bus to my international school comes at like 7... and my brother is getting here in the morning so my mom cant run me later... so ima have to go study in the library till the afternoon test... it will give me more time to do some last minute cramming though... ill be checking on here and will try to answer any questions that i c that havent been answered so that when u wake up 5-7 hours later u can see the answer before ur test... Good Luck to u all and lets all hope its easy :)
