hey guys. i wish to study AP physics b since the summer but i have been so busy with SAT prep and everything else that i haven't exactly had the chance to study for it. Since SAT's are this coming Saturday my time will be completely 'free' all of april besides the fact i have to study for my micro/macro econ ap test and psychology and chem ap tests.

i live in New York and i have studied for the physics regents exam(which in my op is extremely easy) so i do have some background knowledge for physics b. anyways i was wondering which review book should i buy and what websites should i use to self study for this test?

i am scheduling an appointment with my guidance counselor this Monday to discuss whether i can take this test along with micro/macro econ.

ive never taken physics, but do you get chem? because i feel that will take a lot of your time up to study for it, considering it is one of the most hardest ap tests.
you should go to the library and see if they have any review books. if you get most of the stuff, then you might be able to squeeze the test in there. But don’t lose study time for other ap tests by trying to cram physics in there the last month before the test.

personally ap chem is very easy. I am doing pretty good in the class of 14(have a solid 92 average). i believe i can handle all of these ap’s. i have basically 3/4 of march and a whole month of april.

i know i can pull a 5’s on psych/macro/micro and with enough studying even on ap chem. i really wanna pull a 5 on physics b.

also incause ur wondering why i want the extra workload, it is because i plan on applying to NYU early admission 1 and i wanna get all my academics down (subject tests, gpa, SAT, ap’s). the early admission 1 closes mad early like november so if u think about it i don’t have much time considering i have to do the app and other things.

Hey I’m in somewhat in the same boat as you. For my school, they don’t offer AP Physics B but we have Physics H (advanced course of regents material). While taking Physics H we have the OPTION to take the AP B exam in may. To do this we need to learn on our own all the Fluid Mechanics chapters like Thermodynamics and whatnot. I picked up the Princeton Review Physics B book for review and I’ll read the necessary chapters to learn what I’ll need to by May.
