Physics B versus C

do colleges prefer one over the other?
I know C is calculus based, but if u know calculus, is still a lot harder?

C is also split among two exams Mech and Electricity/Magnetism.

B contains topics like optics, nuclear physics, and thermodynamics which neither of the C exams covers (to my knowledge).

You shouldn't take C without taking B or another good physics course first.

They'll prefer the harder one, though, as usual...

Physics C is far more rigorous than Physics B. Physics B is like an overview course. In my Physics C class we have gone far more in depth.

Most colleges accept credit for both Physics B and Physics C. You should take Physics C if you're planning to major in math, chemistry, physics, or engineering. Otherwise, Physics B should be fine. Physics C is a lot harder than Physics B, even if you know calculus.

thanks,

do admission officers look much more favorably upon C?

is it kinda like a Calc AB Versus BC thing?

yeah except physics C is supposed to be much much harder than B
