Physics Barron's SAT II

Comments on the book s'il vous plait ..

Does it prepare you as well as the Math II one does?

Test on Saturday ... bump ... SOS

Well, I know that PR's is almost identical to the test and has good review. Kaplan is easier than the test. And supposedly Barron's is harder. I've tried both Kaplan and PR but not Barron's so can't comment on that exactly.

PUT IT THIS WAY NUCCUH...
PR and Kaplan are for people who score generally lower (i.e. 600 and below) and want to improve meaning they aren't too strong in the subject. PR and Kaplan simplifies many things making it easier for people that don't really understand the stuff.
Barrons is for people who already have high scores i.e. 690, 730, etc and want to improve to basically near-perfect. That's the way i see it.

haha ********!!!

ummm sanfrancisco333
i would strongly disagree, using Kaplan's (which i have to agree is quite bad) i got a 760. I am gonna retake in october (yea yea) but this time using pr for prep. ITS THE BEST BOOK OUT THERE. trust me!!!

(No wait!!! i did use barron's b4, but it has formulas which ae unnecessary, formulas which could be derived if the material was explained more)

Well, I'm aiming for a full score(or at LEAST a 760+). So which book should I use?

You have a day..........
PR

yea i do have the book!!!

I got the PR book and use spark notes..ehh im having a baddd feeling about this test

I'd say that PR's book is one of, if not the best Physics prep book out there right now. I've studied the subject using Kaplan's, PR's, and Barron's. Kaplan's showed a lack of concern to some details that I felt was important for the test. Barron's, as always, had more than enough information. Some say that about 10~20% on Barron's aren't necessary for the test. PR's was adequate with sufficient sample problems along with much care into some explanations to their questions.

I thought PR was better than Barron's (which included many irrelevant details that confused me). Spark notes help a lot though reagrdless of what book you're using. Test is tomorrow, I can't wait to get rid of SATs for life!
