Physics C Mech Score

So I got a 4 on Physics C Mech. I know it's a good score, but many schools I'm considering need a 5. I paid the $7 to get my test book back, and self-scoring myself with the AP Scoring guidelines, I got a 25-26 out of 45. On the MC, I felt comfortable with 20-25 of my answers, and skipped another 5.

My question is, should I consider a MC rescore? I've heard the curve gets as low as 50% for a 5, and I probably have close to a 60. Should I try and talk them into giving me my raw score and finding out the curve?

You won’t get either your raw score or the curve from them, just so you know.

The curve is usually 50+/90, around 58%; you probably barely missed the cutoff. Also, rescores are generally for people whose scores are drastically wrong, such as a 2 when expecting a 5. Most of the time they skipped a question but forgot to skip it on the answer sheet and their answers were misaligned, or their FRQ booklet was missing. Paying money isn’t going to magically raise your 4.
