I don't intend to take AP Physics until junior or senior year but I have a question about it.
CCers usually say C: Mechanics or C: Electricity & Magnetics.
I check the CB website and it says those are 2 parts of 1 exam? But from what I gathered on CC boards, they are 2 exams, right?
So can I take M one year then take E&M another year?

If let's say I could, and Physics C are 2 separate exams then would it say so on the AP Exam Score sheet? Like would it say: C: M & C: E&M as 2 separate items?

Is this the same situation with Studio Arts with 3 categories? So can I take 2 Studio Arts exam: 2-D & 3-D and it would say so on the score sheet. Because I don't want my choice college to wonder why I take it twice. I plan to take 2 categories of Studio Arts junior year.

Thank you very much before hand!!!
I am doing a little planning now.

Physics C: Mechanics and Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism are two separate exams. So, when you take one, only one will appear on the score report.

For AP Studio Art, the three are also three separate exams. So, you sign up for 2-D and 3-D, then that’s two portfolios that you have to make for the two exams you sign up. And on the Score Report, it will specifically say AP Studio Arts: 2-D and AP Studio Arts: 3-D, both separately.

Thank you very much, jerrry4445!!!

I just want to make sure that the score sheet clearly states so. Now I can rest assured.

So that means I can take C: M one year then C: E&M another year, right?

Yeah. Pretty much. They’re two different exams. So, in one year, it will say AP Physics C: Mechanics and score next to it. And next year, AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism and the score next to it.

Thank you very much again, jerrry4445!!!
Your answers clear up everything!
