Physics C self Study

I took Physics B last year and got a 5. Now I am self studying for Both C tests. Anyone else self studying PHysics C

i did last year, with pretty much the same background as yours.
Quote from another post of mine:
i used serway/faughn for physics B but used Halliday/Resnick/Walker's Fundamentals of Physics for physics C. i thought the first one was a good introductory textbook while the latter was exhaustive in calculus-based basic college physics. i self-studied for physics C last year. I started in late February after i came back from HMMT and did all the odd problems after the chapters. i finished in mid-april and then barely looked over barrons guide before taking the exams. i got two 5s, so in my opinions, halliday's book is pretty awesome.

i wouldnt think it would be tough... i kno people who have taken b and then have taken c the next year and said it was a breeze, so self-studying shouldnt be too bad

I took AP Physics B last year in class and studied on my own to take Phys C - results: mechanics - 4(ok...), e/m - 2(not so great...)... I think I'll retake both this year

From what I saw, Mechanics is fairly simple for a student with Phys B background.. just learn some advanced rotational motion and have some very basic knowledge of calculus and you should be good(I slacked off a little... and got a 4). E/M requires a little more effort. The concepts were a little harder to grasp and I had some trouble with Phys B electricty stuff anyway. If you are looking for a prep book I would also recommend halliday's book and PRs prep book (I'm getting Barrons soon - heard it was good).
