Do you need Physics before you take AP Physics? I'm talking about Physics C(both parts)? Also can you take AP Physics B while in regular Physics because it seems easy. My teacher said that if you are good in math they will have a conference and decide if you can take the class. I think I should do good, but I don't know. Instead of that class I was going to take Spanish 4 or Newspaper Journalism. any thoughts.

Take physics its the best class. I never took a physics class or a class having anything to do with electricity, and I am doing good in B. I did have chem so that helped on the gas stuff, but I didnt understand a lot of the stuff when I was in chem. Its not worth it to take physics honors before, it will just be a waste of a class. Think about it, everything that you do, next year will be retaught and brought in further detail. Just skip the intro and work harder and you can do fine.

Physics C is more for engineering majors and premed people, but they would end up taking it again anyways. B is good if you dont want to go into a hard science. It gives you 2x the credit of B in most colleges, except MIT.

Do you think that since I have a 100 in honors biology I can do well in AP Chem with no chemistry background?

Totally different ball game. Not that you CAN'T do well, I'd just recommend self study. Also, depends on your definition of "doing well". If you mean in your class, that depends on how tough your HS is. If you mean on the AP exam, that's more standardized, but what score do you define as well?

In our school, doing well in class is a lot harder than the test. Last year, of the 28 kids taking AP Chem, 27 got 5s and 1 got 4. We probably have the greatest percentage 5s in that science, though.
